Kinder Chorales Summer Camp
5 years to 10 years
Join KinderChorales 2016! Our sixth annual summer choir experience for kids who love to sing and move!
Kinderchorales is a week-Long Summer Choir and Musical Theater Camp in our Ventura location. Monday thru Friday, August 8th thru 12th, with a performance on Saturday August 13th. Hours are 9am-4pm M-F .
Campers ages 5-10 will learn:
Vocal Technique - posture, breath support, singing without strain, and clear enunciation
Microphone Use - what to do, and what not to do when singing on a mic.
Musicianship - conducting patterns, ear training, and sight singing
Singing in Harmony - using rounds, and multi-part vocal arrangements
Stage Presence – characterization, vocal projection, improvisation
Teachers will be placing emphasis on:
- Building Self-Esteem and Confidence
(*Fusing Music and Movement to Reinforce Musical Learning)
- Focused Listening
- Working Together as a Group
- The Kindermusik Technique*
A Final Performance will be held in the Poinsettia Pavilion’s Main Ballroom
Group Vocal Numbers - with all campers in chorus (accompanied by adult musicians*)
Solo, Duet, Trio, and/or Small Group Vocal Performance
The fee for the entire week (including materials) will be $200.
Final Performance for Family and Friends
Saturday Afternoon, August 13th.
